How to write scoring results back to HubSpot objects

Set up the HubSpot connector

Before adding the integration, you need to set up HubSpot. You have two options for setting up HubSpot:

  • OAuth (Recommended): We highly recommend using OAuth instead of Private App authentication, as it significantly simplifies the setup process.
  • Private App: If you are using a Private App, you will need to use your Access Token to set up the connector. Please refer to the official HubSpot documentation to learn how to obtain the access token.

Once you have set up HubSpot, you can proceed with adding the integration.

If you choose OAuth as your authentication method, you will need to authorize by selecting OAuth and entering your Client ID, Client Secret, and Refresh Token.

If you choose to authenticate using a Private App, select Private App and enter the Access Token for your HubSpot account.

Next, you can configure several optional fields and features.

Optionally, you can set the Start Date. Use the provided datepicker or enter the date in the following format: yyyy-mm-ddThh:mm:ssZ. Data added on and after this date will be replicated. If this is not set, "2006-06-01T00:00:00Z" (the date HubSpot was created) will be used as the start date.

You can also enable Web Analytics streams as an experimental feature. Note that these streams use a HubSpot API that is currently in beta and may be modified or unstable as the API continues to develop.

CRM Cards

After installation of the RevOS HubSpot application you will be able to see the special the CRM Cards extension.

To see it simply navigate to the object where at least one score is configured (it can be Company, Contact or Deal) and you will see it on the right side of the screen.

Custom Events

After installation of RevOS HubSpot application your scored objects will automatically receive a custom events about score changes:

Custom events are hidden by default, to see them please change the filter settings in the Activities view of the target object (e.g. Company, Contact or Deal)

🤔

Please note that custom events are pushed to HubSpot only once a day (7am Central European Time). This is done to avoid producing too many custom events in case of model modification, only last value (in case it is changed last 24 hours) will be pushed to HubSpot as custom event

Custom Fields

You can also configure a custom field on your scored objects (e.g. Company, Contact or Deal) to write back the results of the scoring. Please read this article for more information.
