Mixpannel
Configure Mixpanel integration in RevOS to extract event analytics and user behavior data using API-based authentication
The RevOS Mixpanel Connector enables seamless integration with Mixpanel, allowing users to extract event tracking and analytics data for further analysis. The connector supports both Service Account and Project Secret authentication methods.
Prerequisites
Before setting up the connector, ensure you have the following:
- A Mixpanel Service Account Username and Secret or Project Secret or a Mixpanel Project ID.
Setting Up the Mixpanel Connector in RevOS
Step 1: Add a New Data Source
- Navigate to Integrations.
- Click + Add Data Source.
- Select Mixpanel from the list of available connectors.
- Enter a descriptive name for your data source.
Step 2: Configure Authentication

- Select an authentication method:
- Service Account: Requires Username, Secret, and Project ID.
- Project Secret: Requires only the Project Secret.
- Enter the corresponding credentials based on the authentication method chosen.
Step 3: Configure Optional Fields

- Attribution Window: Enter the number of days for attribution tracking (default:
5
).
- Project Timezone: Set the time zone in which Mixpanel stores date values (e.g.,
US/Pacific
).
- Start Date: Specify the start date for data replication (
YYYY-MM-DD
). If left blank, data from up to one year ago will be replicated by default.
- End Date: Define the end date for replication (
YYYY-MM-DD
). If left empty, the connector syncs data until the most recent date.
- Region: Select the Mixpanel domain instance (
US
orEU
).
- Date Slicing Window: Set the number of days per batch when slicing data (default:
30
). Lower values help manage large datasets more efficiently.
- Page Size: Define the number of records per request (default:
1000
). Increase this value if experiencing long sync times.
