How to connect Amplitude to use product analytics data
This page guides you through connecting RevOS to Amplitude to pull product analytics data and use it for your table calculations.
Prerequisite
To setup connectivity you'll need your Amplitude API Key
and Secret Key
.
Important: After you create an integration, you cannot build a RevOS table directly from it. First create a semantic model based on the data that becomes available once the integration is set up; only then can you generate tables.
Setup
To find Amplitude API Key
and Secret Key
in your Amplitude project follow these steps.
- In the Amplitude Analytics web app, click Settings in the upper right navigation.
- Click Projects, then find your target project.
- On the General tab, copy your API key and secret key.

After you were able to find the Amplitude API Key
and Secret Key
navigate to Integrations in the RevOS app and click on Create new Integration

Then search for Amplitude in the list and select it, then copy your API Key in (1) and API Secret in (2). The Replication Start Date you can set to a date in the past where you would like to see the events from

And click on Connect.

This connector expose following information for your tables:
- Active Users
- Average Session Length
- Cohorts
- Events
Troubleshooting
When working with Amplitude sometimes it’s important to reduce the page size of fetched information to reduce the overhead of the API. Especially big time ranges in request may cause a timeout errors, please reach out to our team via support request and we will help you to configure and set it up in case of any issues.
